Welcome to Spine. By using this app you agree to the terms below. They’re intentionally short.
The basics
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
- You’re responsible for keeping your sign-in email secure. Anyone with access to that inbox can request a magic-link sign-in to your account.
- Don’t use Spine to harass, abuse, or impersonate other people. Don’t upload content you don’t have the right to share.
- Don’t try to abuse, scrape, or break the service.
Your content
You own your shelf — your rankings, lists, and profile content. By posting publicly (via your profile page) you grant us permission to display that content to other users of the service. You can delete it at any time from Settings.
Book metadata
Book titles, authors, covers, and descriptions come from Open Library and Google Books. Their data is subject to their respective terms.
Termination
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
No warranty
Spine is provided as-is. We make no guarantees about uptime, data preservation beyond reasonable effort, or fitness for any particular purpose. Don’t use Spine as your only record of your reading life — keep your own backup if it matters.
Changes
We may update these terms. If we make material changes we’ll surface a notice in the app.
